A little help getting started
Capture a useful source. Keep your own notes. Find it again in your learning record.
Connect your extension
Sign in at track.deepeducationnetwork.com/login in the same desktop Chrome profile where DEEP Track is installed. Pin DEEP Track using Chrome’s Extensions menu. Reload an ordinary article page, click the toolbar icon to show the floating capture button, then open its menu. The extension cannot run on protected Chrome pages or the Chrome Web Store.
Save a source
Choose Quick Save for the current page, or Save with notes to review the title and add your thoughts. You can also right-click a page or selected passage to save it. Open Vault to check the result. A saved reference is not a completed learning activity: confirm what you actually learned before adding it to your portfolio.
When a source is incomplete
Some pages prevent extraction, and video captions or podcast transcripts may be unavailable. Your link can still be saved. Open its record in the Vault to review source status and add text or notes where appropriate. Do not assume a saved video or podcast has a full transcript.
Connection or sign-in trouble
A device-only confirmation means the capture is waiting to reach your account. Reconnect and sign in to the original account, then reopen the extension and check your Vault. Do not clear browser data or uninstall while an unsynced record is still needed. If the button is missing, enable the extension, allow access to the site, reload the page and toggle the toolbar icon.
